I am a bubbly and friendly senior florist originally from New Zealand. I hold a National Certificate of Excellence in Floristry and have over 5 years experience as a floral creator and designer.

I have a great eye for detail and a natural talent & flair with flowers. I feel that working with flowers is an extension of my creativity. I enjoy working with all types flowers and am competent in all areas of floristry from stunning shop bouquets to gorgeous weddings.

We have the most lovely and beautiful selection of gifts for Mother’s this weekend. Planted baskets for the green fingered, fresh spring flowers, potted Phalaenopsis Orchid plants in an array of colours, a large selection of vases, pots and baskets, and an extended range of scented candles from Country Candles. We now have in stock not only the popular tins but also glass votive’s and diffuser’s to choose from. A lot of our fresh cut flowers and plants are British grown and the candles are made in Devises, Wiltshire.

I start the planning process as soon as we re-open after Christmas and the New Year. I usually book in the extra staff we need first. If you don’t the good people get booked up. I want the best team possible that can work under pressure whilst maintaining skillful quality work. The planning, advertising and the window display are next. Famous for our window installations I must come up with something new and eye catching each year.

With the structure in place I can work on a Valentine’s collection. This is governed by the season. It is usually better to buy seasonal flowers as they are stronger and better priced. We always supply red roses but only the best quality. It is the growers and suppliers who push the prices up. We actually work on volume and offer a better price because of this to try and meet our customers half way. The exact same red rose we were selling this year, the ‘Naomi’ red rose, would have cost twice the price in Central London compared to us.

Once all of the flowers I have ordered have been delivered it takes a team of us almost a day to condition the flowers and display them by colour in the shop. It is from here we select flowers for each and every order being inspired by the fantastic selection and vibrant colours this time of year.

Maria Perrone Cards will make a long-lasting impression on a friend or loved one. These unique designs are printed on the most exquiste Magnani paper from Tuscany in Italy. Produced since 1404, this is the very paper used by many renaissance artists, and Napoleon chose it for his wedding invitations.

Burns’ suppers are most common in Scotland and Northern Ireland but occur wherever there are Burns Clubs, Scottish Societies, expatriate Scots, or aficionados of Burns’ poetry. There is a particularly strong tradition of them in southern New Zealand’s main city Dunedin, of which Burns’ nephew Thomas Burns was a founding father.

Following the Scottish theme we have created this ‘Scots’ inspired bouquet for the ocassion. White Roses, Lilac and blossom with ‘Super Nova’ blue thistle and Aconitum make up this beautiful bouquet befitting of such a great man.
